Skokie Idol is back, bigger and better than ever!

The contest is open to everyone 10 - 100 years old, regardless of where you live.  Contestants will be divided into divisions depending on the number of contesants.

There will be one Skokie Idol winner for each division.

Unlike past contests there are no weekly eliminations.   Players will receive a minimum of five song challenges which will be performed live at Skokie Theatre.

During the live challenges  you will receive votes from the audience and votes from our judges.  Your four highest scores from the live performances will be combined to determine your rank and whether you are invited to the semi-finals. Our judges  will evaluate your work while offering instruction and suggestions for improvement.

The first weeks challenge will be to sing your favorite song.  The performance will be on January 24, 2026 at 1 pm.  Fill out the registration form so we can reserve a spot for you.

You can sing to a track.  You can sing a cappella.  You can have someone accompany you.  But you must be the only singer.  (Occasionally, a pre-recorded song track contains background singers.  That's ok as long as you sing the lead).

PRIZES:  There will be weekly prizes for the contestants based on that day’s audience vote, plus prizes for the audience as well.  The Skokie Idol winner from each division will be featured in concert on the Skokie Theatre stage.
